North Norfolk Railway......opening on 8th July 2020

  • Posted On: 24 June 2020

IMPORTANT NEWS

We are thrilled to announce that, following Boris Johnson’s statement earlier today, we will be able to open our doors to the public once again on the 8th July.

Trains will depart from Sheringham where you’ll enjoy a nonstop journey through the beautiful North Norfolk countryside to Holt. While you won’t be able to leave the station at Holt, you’ll be able to look around the historic station buildings and watch the locomotive as it moves to the other end of your train ready for the return journey to Sheringham. It is essential that you pre-book your tickets, as only four trains will be running per day, and a very limited amount of on-the-door tickets will be available.

Rather than booking seats, you will need to book an isolated compartment for up to eight people in one of our coaches. This will allow you to enjoy your journey in a completely safe and socially distanced environment. Each compartment will also be thoroughly cleaned between journeys.

Toilet facilities will be provided at both Sheringham and Holt stations, but there will not be toilets on the train. This is to ensure your safety while traveling with us.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the North Norfolk Railway on the 8th July.

You will be able to book tickets here from the 24th June.
