Have you ever travelled in an Express train for a ticket as cheap as Rs 10? Steam Express in Haryana rides passengers from Garhi Harsaru to Farukhnagar which takes a little more than half an hour. And if you were wondering if the cheap rate is some offer, then you'd be surprised to know that it is that actual fare throughout the year.
It uses WP7200 AZAD broad-gauge locomotives from 1947, made in the US. The train (no. 04445) departs from Garhi Harsaruat 9.30am and reaches Farukhnagar at 10.15am. The return journey (train no. 04446) starts at 11.15am. The train uses a steam engine. The service began at the end of September this year and runs all throughout the year.
