A 120-year-old Lumsden railway carriage will be future-proofed thanks to a $62,000 grant.
The Lumsden Heritage Trust has been granted $62,252 for the restoration and preservation of the town's heritage carriage.
The funding will allow the development of a purpose-built canopy to protect Lumsden's A Class 1896 railway carriage.
Staff from Venture Southland helped to prepare the application.
